ADRN Alert Notice

CTX Floods #1

Dear ADRN Volunteers,

We are placing all ADRN volunteers on Alert Status.  Over 500+ families in the greater Austin and CTX area have been affected by heavy rains and swollen creeks/rivers. The National Guard is being called in for rescue efforts.  ADRN and Red Cross believe this disaster will be similar to the size of Tropical Storm Hermine.  ADRN's network of churches will most likely need to sponsor 100+ families and hundreds of homes will need to be cleaned up within the next 24-48 hours.  Our Call Center will be opening up before 12PM today and ADRN has started the process to raise funds for the hundreds of families impacted by the floods.  There will be a need for Chaplains and CISM trained volunteers.

We will be sending out a second notice this morning, most likely before 10AM with specific Deployment details - please look for this email.  If you have been trained in the Call Center and are available to volunteer today, please email stephen@adrntx.org.  We will need Call Center volunteers by 10AM this morning.  We will also be posting a need for Hospitality Volunteers to provide Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast over the next several days for our Call Center volunteers.  More info on this will be sent out soon.

Father, we praise God that Your love is so high and wide for all of these families that have been devastated by these floods. May Your great grace and goodness flow through Your church to glorify Your Son Jesus.  May this be the most effective and organized deployment Your church has been part of in Greater Austin - may multitudes see the loving hands and feet of Christ! In Jesus name. Amen.
