2019-2020
School Project
We are currently working with a poet/musician to help us create a presentation about the many wonderful cultures we have in Andover. We would love to have photos of traditional clothing and costumes, foods, dances, and celebrations! Please contribute your photos and videos to this FOLDER.

JOIN US LIVE!

The Upstanders is unsettling and uplifting, causing us all to examine our behavior, inspiring us to do better, be better, and stand up against victimization and cyber-bullying. On MAY 4, Andover Public Schools will hold a special screening of The Upstanders to open up a dialogue between local families, community leaders and experts. The event will feature a viewing of the 56-minute film, followed by an informative panel discussion, led by our director of social work Joe Yarid, AHS social worker Abby Levin, and social work intern Mackenzie Comeau.

ATTENTION FIFTH GRADE PARENTS!

Would you be willing to help plan some fun end-of-year activities for our graduating students? If you are interested, please reach out to Sarah Slaughter at Sarah.Slaughter@gmlaw.com and Sarah Bossieux at sbossieux@gmail.com
 Thank you!

South School is hiring! We are looking for part-time lunch monitors, Instructional Assistants, and Building Based Substitutes. Please contact Brenda Lee at brenda.lee@andoverma.us if you are interested in any of these positions.
COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Andover High School senior Alex Hazelwood is coordinating a clothing and toiletries drive during the first 2 weeks of May to benefit Catie’s Closet.
Catie’s Closet is a local organization that has been a powerful partner with the Boston, Lowell and Lawrence Public Schools in providing essential clothing and toiletries to families affected by COVID-19.
Please spread the word and ask your family and friends to donate gently-used clothing for children ages 4-18 and new, unused toiletries.
Alex is collecting donations on a table at the bottom of her driveway at 17 Knollcrest Drive in Andover. This is a contactless donation site so feel free to just drop and dash!

Contact Alex Hazelwood with any questions at ahazelwood5@gmail.com

Race for ACE:
A movement challenge to raise money for our schools

This virtual event will take place from May 1 to May 8. Participants and families are encouraged to complete their own Race for ACE by selecting a physical activity to do for 30 minutes. You can run, walk, hike, bike, dance, skip or jump – anything that promotes 30 minutes of physical activity! Click here to register.
We are encouraging participants to post a favorite picture or video on social media and tag us: #raceforace2021. We will be selecting a post that tags us as a winner every day, with awesome prizes and swag! Additionally, given that our event coincides with Teacher Appreciation Week, we are encouraging participants to honor a teacher as part of their race.
Questions? Please contact Jennifer at 781-405-3840 or jsrivastava@aceandover.org
