The time has come for Cape Ann to bid a fond farewell to Matt and Missy Anzivino as they prepare to begin the next chapter in their life story in Florida. Over the years, Matt and Missy and their team at Rockport Inn & Suites brought energy and spirit to Christmas in Rockport and the community Easter egg hunt, while hosting countless Rockport Division meetings and Chamber events at the inn.

Every year the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce publishes three premier publications. The Cape Ann Guide & Directory and the Rockport and Cape Ann Visitor Maps. We are delighted to announce that we have just received our 2021 editions and they look fantastic! We are now distributing them, and they are also available at the Chamber for pick-up. We hope you enjoy this year’s publications as much as we enjoyed making them. Sawyer Free Library Launches New Resources for Job Seekers

Targeted to the needs of today's job hunter, the Job Seekers Resource Program supports people as they discover new career paths, gain new job skills, find job opportunities, and more.  The program features expert-led virtual workshops, one-on-one resume sessions at the library, and a new dedicated webpage, available in over 100 world languages, with extensive resources specially curated by Library staff.   All resources are free and accessible to those in the Gloucester community and beyond.

State Lifting All Remaining
COVID-19 Restrictions May 29

Effective Saturday, May 29, all remaining COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted, and the state of emergency will end on June 15. The state’s current face covering order will also be rescinded on May 29, to be replaced by a new face covering advisory consistent with the latest Centers for Disease Control guidance. Read the full press release and related information here

Rockport's Town Offices Will Reopen to Full Service Walk-Ins Starting June 2

The Board of Health has voted to lift local COVID restrictions and fully align with the Commonwealth’s restriction and advisory timeline. Starting Wednesday, June 2, Town Offices will transition from by appointment to regular full service walk-in during normal business hours. The Public Library will also transition from its back porch pickup service to normal walk in service the same day. Over 3.4 Million Fully Vaccinated in Mass

According to the May 23 report from the Department of Public Health 3,438,241 people have been fully vaccinated in Massachusetts against COVID-19. More than 4 million have received at least one dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine. Everyone age 12 and above who lives, works or studies in Massachusetts is now eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccinations. To learn more and to make an appointment please click here. State’s COVID-19 Positivity Rate Drops Below 1%

The state’s 7-day weighted average positivity rate continued to fall over the past week, reaching 0.93% on May 22. Other key indicators, including hospitalizations and deaths related to COVID are also continuing to show encouraging downward trends. SBA Accepting Applications for Restaurant Revitalization Fund
