The GCACC Business Sustainability Committee Invites You to the First of a Three-Part Series on Sustainable Business Practices

Join Energy Expert Tim Sanborn, Founder of Cazeault Solar and Home, to Speak on "How Renewable Energy Can Help Your Business Thrive"


While electricity rates continue to rise, businesses are assessing their options on how to engage with renewable energy sources. Tim Sanborn will outline why solar is an attractive business option that has the potential to reduce electricity costs while taking advantage of available incentives. Joining Tim will be a Cazeault business client who will provide a firsthand account on the financial return on investment that going solar has provided.

A Familiar Face Rejoins the Chamber Staff


The Chamber is thrilled to announce that Becca Campbell has rejoined the chamber staff in her new role as Director of Member Services! Many will remember Becca from her days as the Chamber Office Manager, keeping us all organized, and greeting people at the front desk and over the phone. After spending the last 15 months working for Angel Flight NE, Becca is excited to return to the Chamber family in this new capacity and work closely with the membership. Ipswich Downtown Tuesdays Sponsorships Available. Deadline Next Week

Hammond Castle Featured on WBZ Morning Mix Segment


This segment titled "Gloucester's Hammond Castle Museum features European touches dating back centuries" was recently featured on CBS News' WBZ Morning Mix.

North Shore Regional Compost Facility to Open in Manchester


(From Gloucester Daily Times) Composting on Cape Ann will become a bit easier starting June 14 as a regional compost facility will open in Manchester-by-the-Sea. The aim of the North Shore Regional Compost facility is to use the compost to grow food. Sarah Wolfskehl of Black Earth Compost said one of the facility’s goals is to make food more available — and do it in a way that pays heed to environmental concerns. Read Full Article


The opening ceremony is due to take place on June 14 from 1-3 p.m. at the facility, which is located at 201 Pine St., Manchester. The ceremony will include a ribbon cutting, statements by local and federal officials, and facility tours. Please RSVP to Attend

Season Schedule Released for 2024 Music on the Meeting House Green


This will be the ninth season of the Gloucester Meetinghouse Foundation's free, 10-event outdoor music festival held on the green at 50 Middle Street (corner of Middle and Church Streets) in front of the Gloucester Unitarian Universalist Church. Each event features a different musical group, food vendor, and benefits a worthy local non-profit through free-will donations from the audience. Download Schedule & Details

Castle Hill Summer Concert Series Announced


(From Ipswich Local News) Castle Hill concerts will return on June 27 and will run until August 29. Dancing on the grass will be allowed. Attendees can bring picnics, blankets, lawn chairs, and low tables. But, the Trustees add, “Please, no tents, lawn umbrellas, grills, candles, or pets.”


“Outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted, and parcels will be searched upon entry,” they said. However, concertgoers may procure libations from Mill River Winery, True North Ales, and 1634 Meadery, who will all have kiosks on site.
