Cape Ann Cruises Plays Central Role in Jon & Kayla's Wedding. However, what you may not know is that Cape Ann Cruises helped host the wedding ceremony. "We were more than honored to have Kayla and her close family as well as the bridesmaids aboard the legendary Wejack yacht. It was one of the most memorable and fun weddings we’ve done yet, and we wish Kayla and Jon a bright future."

Three Rockport Inns Included in "14 of the Best New England Bed & Breakfasts to Know About" by TravelMarket Report

Congratulations to Addison Choate, The Emerson, Inn and The Yankee Clipper Inn for their inclusion in this top list! According to TravelReport, "These 14 inns in New England are, for the most part, historic inns (and this being New England, many belonging to former sea captains) that have reimagined themselves with amenities and restorations to meet 21st-century standards without losing their historic integrity, and giving visitors a true taste of local – then and now." This is the “Sacred Cod,” a wood carving of a cod that’s been memorialized in the Statehouse for more than three centuries, honoring the noble fish for its essential role in the building of Massachusetts’ wealth and influence in colonial times.

To someone unfamiliar with the importance of cod fisheries in the state, this long-standing appreciation of cod may seem peculiar. Cape Ann Animal Aid Pet of the Week

Melody, a 10-year-old gal who’s looking for a patient person to help her find her purr-fect tune, is part of the Clear the Shelters celebration and her adoption fee is reduced to $25 in August. Melody might initially greet you with a hiss, but it’s her way of letting you know she needs time to feel safe. Once you’ve earned her trust, her eyes will close in bliss when patted, and her purrs will fill the room— a symphony of happiness and contentment. Visit www.capeannanimalaid.org for more information about Melody and all the other animals waiting for homes at the Christopher Cutler Rich Animal Shelter, 4 Paws Lane in Gloucester.
