Thank you to All who Bid On and Purchased License Plates
The Cape Ann Community Foundation (CACF) Low Number License Plate Auction was a big success this past week and exceeded our expectations. Ten low number plates were purchased, including #2. Thank you for your continued support. With our 2023 grant cycle, the CACF will have given over $100,000 back to Cape Ann non-profits and schools since our inception in 2015! An exciting milestone we are eager to celebrate.

Support Boats Needed for the Blackburn Challenge
Saturday, July 15, 2023
Do you have a motor boat in the greater Cape Ann area? Would you like to spend a few hours on the water enjoying the ocean air with a front-row seat to New England’s most iconic open-water human powered race? The Blackburn Challenge is a 20+ mile open water circumnavigation of Cape Ann using various human powered craft. Each year we have several support boats along the course for the safety of our participants. Each support boat monitors an assigned section of the course for approximately 3 hours and will receive a stipend for fuel. The Cape Ann Rowing Club will provide a safety briefing and orientation to ensure all volunteers are successful and have fun!

Cape Ann Animal Aid Pet of the Week
Meet Zony, a Puerto Rican Sato who is likely full grown but may gain some pounds once she is in a forever home. An intelligent dog that enjoys a nap, a long walk, and treats, she bond with her human very quickly and loves attention. She is completely house trained and has learned how to be on a leash and a couple of commands. Because I grew up as a street dog, I am working on getting to like other dogs, and would likely do best in a single-dog household (at least at first). If you think I’d make a good addition to your family, stop by and visit me today!
Please visit www.capeannanimalaid.org/ for more information about me and all the other animals waiting for homes here at the Christopher Cutler Rich Animal Shelter, 4 Paws Lane in Gloucester.
