A Gloucester Women-Owned Business Tour
Thursday, September 21 | 3 - 7 PM
All are invited (men too!) to put on your power-walking shoes and prepare to explore some of Gloucester's finest Women-Owned businesses, right here on Main (and adjacent) streets! After picking up your Passport and Raffle Tickets at Shore Nutrition, visit the list of participating Women-Owned Businesses, get your Passport stamped and enter raffle drawings at each location. Three additional Grand Prize Drawings will be held at Oliver’s Harbor at 7 PM.

N.H. Race Museum Honors Bentley Warren
(From Ipswich Local News) You have seen the big red Bentley Warren trucks in town and know of the huge sand-and-gravel operation beside the Ipswich-Rowley line on Route 1.
On Sunday, September 17, a sold-out crowd at the New England Racing Museum honored Warren. With two standing ovations and rousing stories from speakers across the country, the crowd celebrated him having fun during a 50-plus-year career as one of America’s top race car drivers. Four cars he raced were brought to the event, including the recently restored Purdy Deuce in which he won his first big race in 1969. That car was parked in the middle of the dinner tables. Harborlight Homes Holds Ribbon Cutting for Granite Street Crossing in Rockport
(From Gloucester Daily Times) About 100 people, including town and state officials, gathered Thursday morning for a ribbon cutting at 5 Granite St., now known as Granite Street Crossing, Harborlight Homes’ completed affordable housing project. Up to 40 people are expected to live Granite Street Crossing’s 23 units. There are 17 senior units in one building, and six family townhomes in two other buildings. Read Full Article

Each new citizen will receive a Gloucester 400+ commemorative medal, featuring the second-place winning design “Call of the Storm” by Alexis Chipperini. BankGloucester will donate a total of $30,000 to 19 community organizations across Cape Ann. They are looking to the community to choose who the recipients will be.
