ATTENTION YOUNG ACTIVISTS (& not so young)!

We’re going to Norwalk this Saturday, October 3, 2020! Will you join us? Meet at 10:30 AM at Bowlmor Lanes (701 Connecticut Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06854). We will make signs and then stand along busy Connecticut Avenue to work the traffic!

Last Saturday, our UU the Vote (Activists-in-Training) event was a thrill! Twenty-three children and adult participants demonstrated for less than an hour, firing up over 300 motorists to “honk” to our signs (Voting? Honk) along busy Rt. 1 in Westport. It was an empowering experience for all.

Bring cardboard to make your sign, or bring the one you held last time. We have Tempera Stix! And bring your friends, too. The more the merrier!

KEN VOGEL: LEADING LIGHT AWARD for SEPTEMBER

The Leadership Development Team is pleased to announce the September Leading Light Award to Ken Vogel. Ken’s contributions over the years are too numerous to name. Among the many significant gifts of Ken’s time and talent are his service as Treasurer, the duties of which he performed with distinction. Equally important, Ken has served as a dedicated member and Chair of the Board of Trustees. And of course, Ken and his family’s generous financial support to TUCW throughout the years has been a blessing to our community. Given the challenging times through which we are living Ken’s spirit of service is particularly uplifting. For all of his involvement in and commitment to TUCW, Ken truly is a Leading Light.
