Rev. John will explore the practice of appreciating the shadow and the quiet of the dark, and how not doing can lead to a deeper story. Part of that shadow is dealing with racism in our lives.

CONGRATULATIONS TO RAVI SANKAR:
OUR LEADING LIGHT AWARD RECIPIENT FOR MAY
Please join the Leadership Development Team in congratulating Ravi Sankar, May’s Leading Light Award recipient. Among the many significant gifts of Ravi’s time and talent are his service on our Board of Trustees and his past service on the Finance Committee. Ravi has touched our community through his work as a Pastoral Care Chaplain and Visiting Steward and has served an usher for years. Ravi is also an integral member of the Immigration and Refugee Committee. Not least of all Ravi has devoted countless hours teaching Hinduism to our 7th graders, Christianity to our 5-6th graders and has been instrumental in rejuvenating our Adult Neighboring Faith program. For all his involvement in and commitment to TUCW, Ravi truly is a Leading Light.
All children and youth are welcome to join us for our Sunday virtual classes. Just show up on ZOOM! Or, to find out more first, contact Nate Pawelek, our Director of Faith Formation. Information about our programming is always available HERE.

After taking a Spring Break from Harry Potter and friends to learn about Ramadan from our amazing guest speakers, Dima and her daughter, Angelina, we will return to Hogwarts this Sunday to experience Double Divination. We will be having fun with tarot cards and mystery jelly beans.
Youth Group:
After an uplifting bonfire event this past Sunday, which included a cameo visit from Reverend John (during which we played “tele-strations” and laughed so hard we cried), our next event is a bonfire on May 16.
LOOKING AHEAD: Nate is organizing a Youth Group camping trip for Memorial Day weekend. All youth 13 years and older are invited to participate. Please contact Nate.
