THE ENGAGEMENT CENSUS DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED
UNTIL 6:00 PM THIS SUNDAY, JANUARY 10th
|
|
Thank you to all of you who have already completed the census, but it's critical that ALL people in our community fill this out: we need a complete picture!
The Engagement Census will give us the information we need to plan and support important church work moving forward, especially in our Post COVID world. Also we hope to "clean up" our records, and add to them so we have a full understanding of who we are and what we do. We'd love for you to share thoughts on your church life. This survey should take 15 minutes or less to complete.

REACH OUT AND ... INVITE SOMEONE
TO OUR BRING A FRIEND SUNDAY SERVICE THIS SUNDAY
|
|
The Membership Team invites you to “Bring A Friend” to our ZOOM service this Sunday.
As Rev. John explains: “I will be exploring how Unitarian Universalism will provide grace and purpose in the new world we are entering in my sermon. Invite your friends so that they can experience the same spiritual depth you have grown to love”.
Imagine who you would like to bring, jot down their names, and invite them. Don’t forget to include our ZOOM link which is on the front page of our website uuwestport.org. Looking forward to seeing you and your friends. Questions? Contact: David Vita.

This Saturday our Brown Bag Lunch outreach will surpass 10,000 lunches.
Our Sunday Service theme this month is “Imagination." Well, we certainly didn’t imagine this! And yet, one sandwich at a time, 101 individuals and families have shown up every Saturday since we began on April 18. It may sound strange after 38 weeks but this outpouring of love in a brown paper bag is still a source of amazement.
|
|
So… here's to imagination, to love, to amazement, to commitment, to organizing, to…
Lunches include: PB & J sandwich, juice/water, fruit, snacks, cookies and… be creative! Drop off at church Saturday between 12-4. Join us this Saturday. Or another Saturday. We’ll be here. Click here to sign-up.

Our lesson at Hogwarts: “Double Potions.” We will look at examples of potions where ingredients mix and where they don’t mix, a sad metaphor for how certain groups of people are conditioned to avoid each other. We will work hard to ignore our stereotypical impulses and allow objects to infiltrate our magical barriers.

Youth Group (8-12th grade): 1-2 PM ZOOM Meeting: HERE

We will use our imaginations to share our resolutions, hopes, and dreams for the upcoming New Year. While sharing, we will create individual Imagination Doors: What will be behind each door? Participants will use their smartphones and devices (and imaginations!), to compose a unique image that reveals what dwells behind each individual door.
