LISTENING TO LOSS: DIRECTLY AFTER SUNDAY'S SERVICE

Listening To Loss

After the service this Sunday December 4, we will continue our conversation about loss in our “Listening to Loss” series.

This part of the conversation will focus on what lessons might be found through our struggles with loss. Is there possibility for hope, growth, or renewal? Might new parts of ourselves be revealed to us?

Join us in the library after service for a safe, supportive conversation. Contact Dayle Browstein with any questions.

WELCOME OUR WOVEN COMMUNITY THIS SUNDAY

Our Woven Community

Just in time for holiday shopping, several women from Our Woven Community will be selling their beautiful items in the foyer this Sunday.

Our Woven Community is a Burroughs Community Center program in Bridgeport that provides local refugee women, many resettled by the Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants (CIRI), the opportunity to become empowered with entrepreneurial skills and economic opportunity.

Participants learn to use sewing machines to create beautiful handbags, scarves and other items, using local donated materials combined with fabrics from African and other countries to symbolize their cultures. 100% of the proceeds benefit the artists and support program expenses.
