Faith Formations will return on January 7th with the following classes: | |
Moral Tales (Kindergarten-3rd grades): The children will learn about their new program, which is called Moral Tales, and play improv games. The Moral Tales program will introduce the children to stories drawn from UU Sources, including Christian and Hebrew scripture, UU biographies, and worldwide religious sources. The goal is to provide the kids with some tools/resources we use to search for truth and make moral decisions.

Riddle and A Mystery (4th-6th grades): The children will learn about their new program, which is called Riddle and a Mystery. This program dives into big questions, such as “What Are We?” “Does God Exist?” “What Happens When We Die?” Each session includes an activity where the children will create a news broadcast. The first session will include creating a set for their news program.

OWL- Our Whole Lives (7th-9th grades): The OWL workshop will review the process of conception and highlight the responsibilities of parenthood and help the OWL students examine the impact that parenthood could have on their goals and their futures.

Youth Group will start off with programming that is both delicious and delightful. Please note a change of time: the Youth Group will meet at
10:00 AM starting January 7th.

Coming in January 2024: Faith Formation offers two highly recommended books to read together that will enhance our personal growth as well as continue our work together to make UUWestport a healthy, thriving congregation!

It can be a wonderful gesture to donate flowers for our Sunday services. A traditional hanging basket, or flowers of your own choosing that you bring to us, are both great options. Take them home with you after the service. Please reach out to Ruth Fontilla to get the process going. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Please wear your nametag on Sunday mornings. If you've lost yours, let an usher know, and we'll get a new one made up for you. Or you can contact Ruth in the office.
