Our beloved building has been magically transformed into an eclectic, bustling boutique - our huge Tag Sale.  It actually wasn’t magic at all, but thanks to the dedication, muscles and persistence of an amazing corps of members, the transformation is complete. We are heartened by so many willing to dig deep to help support our beloved community!

If you haven’t had a chance to be part of the effort, there is still an opportunity. Please join us 4-6 PM on Saturday to help reset the building for Sunday worship. That would be a great help. AND, if you could commit to hauling away a box or two to a local Goodwill or another organization who could benefit from any of our leftovers, that'd be fabulous too.

Thank you, thank you! See you Saturday, and spread the word to your friends!
This is Thursday at noon ... what will Saturday look like! Come and find out!
Every Saturday: Brown bag lunch donations to support John Street Outreach. Drop off Saturdays noon- 4:00 PM. Sign up HERE; contact David Vita to learn more.

Please join us in person for our uplifting services each Sunday during the summer months. These will be led by dedicated friends and members of our congregation, and in person only. They will not be broadcast live, although a recording will be made available later for subsequent viewing.

Offerings each week can be made in person as we pass the plate, via, or feel free to mail in cash or check.

The Worship Associates have done a fabulous job planning out a terrific summer for us. Click HERE for the complete Summer Services schedule.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 7, 2022 - 10:00 AM
Janet Luongo, David Vita, and leaders of UUtheVote and TUCWomen/BLM. Special guest artist, Darcy Hicks
Artist and activist Janet Luongo inspires us to create bold new ways to save our sacred democracy; to jolt a sleepy electorate into action through powerful and startling images, humor, messages, memes, music; stories, videos, and rallies. During the service, in small diverse groups we discuss and vote on issues that TUCW will focus on in the 2022 Midterm Election. Special guest Darcy Hicks involves us in creating art for Wings-4-Peace, a project of David Hogg to move our culture from violence to peace. After the service, together we write to reclaim the vote for people of color in Florida - please join our postcard party!

settled minister of the UU Congregation, Stamford

What mysteries await when we slow down to pay attention to the world around us? The season invites savoring and delight, a time to welcome and invite the unknown to speak. Together we explore a radical practice of spiritual discovery. Rev. Terri Pahucki (she/her) is the Minister of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Stamford, CT. Terri earned her Master of Divinity from Drew Theological School and Hartford Seminary, and was ordained at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Northern Westchester (her internship congregation) in Fall 2021.

Rising K - 4th grade children are invited to join us this summer in the West Wing [to the left as you enter the building] 10:00 AM-11:00 AM each Sunday, as parents and caregivers attend the service in the sanctuary.

Come have fun learning about our UU Principles, follow our adopted Sea Turtles and explore Mindfulness!

Bring your friends to church and if they have children, this is a great way to learn about Unitarian Universalism and the world.

Stay tuned for any changes via the church calendar posted on the website. Reach out to Dr. Heather Hamilton for info.

Children of all other ages - younger than K (with their caregivers) and older than 4th grades - are always welcome to join the adults in the sanctuary and be part of our worship service.

Talking Circle
Following our first congregational Talking Circle held last spring, created to provide a qualitative deep listening experience, our Pastoral Care facilitators committed to having a follow up session. This circle is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 13th from 10:45 AM-12:15 PM in our Meeting House. In order to have adequate seating, we need to have a sense of the numbers of people who will be coming. Please confirm your intention to participate by sending Jim Francek a quick email at

In addition, we are planning to facilitate a ZOOM talking circle on Saturday, August 20th from 9:30-11:00 AM. If you would like to attend this session, please send an email to Jim Francek confirming your request for the ZOOM link.

If you have any questions about these sessions, please feel free to contact any of us listed below.

-- a note from our Safe Congregations Committee

For some of us, we are sending our children off to college, for others, we have friends and extended family members going through this major milestone, and so we are supporting them from a relative distance. For any folks concerned, this can be a challenging time.

Please know there are resources to help. Click HERE, for example, to read up on how to prepare kids to thrive in college, as shared by the Child Mind Institute. And on July 8, 2022 The New York Times recently posted an excellent article, too: click HERE for it.

And as always, The HUB is a great resource for behavioral health support: go ahead and bookmark or sign up to be on their email list.

Questions? Please feel free to contact our Safer Congregations team, led by Wendy Levy.
