A Cappella Brings Fun and $$ Support

What a great evening on Wednesday night! The Princeton Nassoons and Greens Farms Academy's The Beachside Express lifted our spirits and brought good cheer - and helped us raise over $900 for the Domestic Violence Crisis Center. A house full of young talent on the cusp of their adult lives, and new friends and music lovers. Thank you Music Committee for bringing this evening to us and our greater community!

READ ALOUD DAY AT BEARDSLEY SCHOOL

Beardsley School Read Aloud Day
October 2023

Thank you to everyone who took part in our Hispanic American Heritage Month Read Aloud Day at the Beardsley School! Students loved the stories immensely and teachers went out of their way to express gratitude for the warm and enthusiastic readers who came to their classrooms. One of the most important benefits of reading aloud to children is sharing the joy in reading for pleasure. Each of you demonstrated this passion so generously with our amazing Beardsley students, and we are so appreciative of your gift of time.

Our next Read Aloud Day, in May 2024, is in recognition of Teacher Appreciation Week. Please watch SOUNDINGS for an opportunity to participate!

MUSIC THAT MATTERS!

Music that makes a meaningful difference is what drives so many of the volunteers at Voices Cafe, and UU Westport’s Social Justice Committees. Recent Voices Cafe beneficiaries have included Green Village Initiative and Her Time… and in November, we’re raising funds for Homes with Hope. Music matters, in our community, and feels good!!

Voices Cafe Committee member Jon Gage delivers our donation check to the dedicated folks at Green Village Initiative this past summer.
