Our next theme for UUWriters is The Path of Resistance. Sharpen your quills, pens, or laptops, and join on us on Thursday, April 20 at 1:00 PM or 7:00 PM. All are welcome. To kickstart your writing, prompts will be emailed to you. The packet includes poems and songs for inspiration. Take as little as 15 minutes to write something to bring to the workshop on Zoom. Rather than critique the work, we discuss how we connected to it.

Connecticut Against Gun Violence
Governor Lamont’s Act Addressing Gun Violence, supported by CT Against Gun Violence, was voted out of the Judiciary Committee and still has a way to go before being enacted. Come to the CAGV Action Team meeting (ZOOM) on Tuesday, April 4 from 7:00-8:30 for an update and Lobby Day Training to prepare volunteers for CAGV’s Wednesday lobby days that are starting up next week, through May 3. ADULT FAITH FORMATION: Last Saturday March 25th, the Adult Neighboring Faiths group attended the yearly Monlam Prayer Festival at the DNKL Tibetan Buddhist Center for Universal Peace in Redding. The festival included chanting interrupted only by a delicious Tibetan lunch.

Great to have so many with us: Tim Foisie, Marie Claire Bue, Dave Bue, Jack Hennessy, Kathy Roberts, Jim Francek, Nancy McKeever, Cheryl Dixon Paul, Kitty Reed, Ravi Sankar and Jamie Forbes!

COMMUNITY BUILDING! We had a great time at Trivia Night last Friday night - thanks to Dayle Brownstein, Jim Cooper and Peggy Gormley for arranging such a relaxing time - complete with homemade cookies. And the questions! And "name that tune" game! Just fun all around.
