Here is a lovely Volvo 240 with the rare manual transmission that has been well cared for, and is in excellent condition. It is finished in metallic blue with a blue cloth interior, and is equipped with A/C, power windows, antilock brakes, a driver’s airbag, and optional aluminum alloy wheels. It has lower mileage than most of them out there, too.
It has detailed service records and receipts back to June, 2011. Recently done (at 103,000 – 105,000 miles): new spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap and rotor; new Michelin tires; a new water pump, a new power window door switch and more.
A clean Carfax report is available on request and a complete car cover (also in excellent condition) is included, as is the owner’s manual and related books. It was not driven in winter, and has no visible body rust (other than the usual surface kind underneath).
Considered one of the safest cars of its time, this Volvo is ideal for both older and younger drivers. They were nicknamed, “the brick”, and were the inspiration for the later spoof ad “Buy Volvos. They’re boxy, but they’re good”.
