Take a Walking Tour in Uptown Charlotte with the CARE Group
Sunday, April 21, 1:30-3:30 p.m., Polk Park, 501 N. Tryon Street (Carpools Meeting at 12:45 at SMPC) - Join us for a two-hour guided walking tour of uptown Charlotte called "Charlotte’s Haunted Future" that explores how stories of "exclusions and invisibilities" have been written into the Charlotte cityscape. Join us for Food and Fellowship at Lunch on the Grounds
Sunday, April 28, 11:15 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Mecklenburg Hall (with lunch tables outside weather permitting) - Everyone is welcome! Join us after worship for a delicious lunch on the grounds catered by Brown Bag. We’ll enjoy sliced grilled chicken breast, spinach salad with berries and mandarin oranges, a choice of red-skin mashed potatoes or mac and cheese, rolls, brownies, tea and lemonade. Friends Empowering Haiti (formerly Friends of OFCB) is raising money to purchase food for the school in Bayonnais, Haiti.
