The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences hosted the second installment of the Bicentennial Lecture Series event, Maintaining a Healthy Brain, featuring a panel of five of GW’s leading neurologists and discussing the aging brain; steps to optimize brain health; clinical options for patients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or stroke; and the critical connection between research and patient care.

Members of the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences MD Class of 20234 celebrated Match Day on March 15, learning where they would train in their medical specialties. Students matched in specialties at leading residency programs across the country in programs in from Maine Medical Center in Portland and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston to University of Miami Jackson Health System in Miami .

When we have a patient who has just had a major surgery to treat their cancer, we make a decision about adjuvant chemotherapy in the context of stage — stage 1, 2, 3, or 4. What I learned from [the announcement] is that she's getting preventive chemotherapy or adjuvant chemotherapy with the goal of cure.
