Dear SMA Community,

Red Ribbon Week has been a success! It was great to have so many families enjoying lunch together yesterday and seeing the students dressed up in their favorite sports jerseys today. Tomorrow is wear red, head to toe! Accessories welcome (no hair color/wigs/make-up)!

Thank you to all the Turkey Trot sponsors! See below the businesses and families who will be featured on our t-shirts. Check out the online bidding to grab the best seats and reserved parking for the Dec. 14th Advent program. Keep sending out request letters. Funds are coming in daily!

Please review Halloween guidelines below for next Tuesday. All Saints Day is Wednesday, 11/1. The 1st & 5th grades will host the 8:30 am Mass. Students are welcome to dress up as a saint. Alternatively, they can wear their dress uniform. All are welcome to attend.

Families have raised $8,205 in donations towards the shade structure and turf/soil prep for the field!

Sponsors have contributed $5320 to the the Turkey Trot.

Please continue to send out request letters. Students will receive a free t-shirt with a $50 donation. We hope for 100% participation.

About this fundraiser:

SMA is raising money to get the field and shade project going. This is year 3 of a 3-year fundraising campaign. Please share this link with anyone who might be interested in helping us beautify and strengthen the safety of our field. God bless!

For any single donation of $70+, the donor will receive an invitation to create a custom message for a student motivation poster.

Turkey Trot On-Line Bidding closes 11/14 @ 5pm

There are eight opportunities to bid on front pews in the church for the Advent program on December 14 and two chances for reserved parking that evening.

Halloween Candy Collection

Each year students, are asked to donate part of their Halloween candy (“treasure”) which is used for the Christmas distribution at the Casa de los Pobres (House of the Poor) in Mexico. Toothbrushes and toothpaste are also greatly appreciated! Please put candy in a quart size freezer bag for distribution and bring into the office by Friday, 11/3.

Blanket/Jacket Drive

The Knights of Columbus and the Academy are collecting blankets and jackets for Fr. Joe's Villages, El Cajon Transitional Center and Western Service Workers. Boxes will be placed on school grounds for collections through Friday, 11/3.

Donations may also be made in the vestibule of the church through Sunday, 11/5.
