My Dear SJA Alumni Friends!
Before reading my note below, know that I have great news for the Reunion Challenge and links to the many fun photos taken and collected of our special gathering down a bit further.
It dawned on me that this reunion was more of a FAMILY reunion - everyone knows everyone - and it was a JOY seeing people wandering the school, laughing, walking around the neighborhood, sharing stories - just loads of love and happiness!
It has been a true pleasure being your SJA alumni association coordinator (AKA cheerleader). Having the opportunity to get to know you through my days involved with the school and parish, along with writing the alumni newsletters, posting on Facebook, attending mini reunions and the chairing the 2016 and 2022 All School Reunions, I cherish our relationship developed through these experiences. I am grateful. And I'm THRILLED to be an "alum" now - Jo Ellen Madden Class of 2015 π
A special shout out to Jim Shelley '69. After his 50th class reunion and reconnecting with his fellow students, he became passionate about SJA. Jim helped with forming class liaisons, starting the alumni interviews, working with the Arch for SJA archives/photos, raising funds for the reunion, and is definitely a people connector with a big heart. Thank you Jim.
Your dedicated reunion committee worked on the logistics of the event for many months and we certainly enjoyed our Zoom meetings preparing for the big day! A BIG thank you to these awesome fellow alums: Solita Pandit Murphy '78, Anje Schaefer Cluxton '89, TC Woodward Wells '65, Jim Shelley '69, Kelly Orf Trimble '03, Elizabeth Wheeler '03 and Colleen Baker '05 (missing in the pic). Great teamwork!
Once the post-reunion paperwork, database clean up, etc is wrapped up, Kelly and Elizabeth will be taking over the coordinator role late summer. You'll enjoy getting to know these lovely ladies over the next several years. In the meanwhile, you'll still see me on Facebook/Instagram, and maybe even an Alumni interview...
St Joan of Arc is one special place on earth and how lucky am I to have landed here. Bet you feel the same way.
Until our paths cross again, God Bless You and Stay Connected.
