Dear Parents,

Join SIA for an evening of fun, food and friends!  The SIA Pasta Dinner is this Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 5p.m. – 6:30pm.   It is a great opportunity to meet the parents of your child’s classmates and have a lot of fun.  Also, you get a break from cooking dinner!

We are so excited to share that our Early Years Division is getting a new Activity Room! Administration has been working with the campus to identify a suitable space for gross motor activities for our early learners on the first floor of the building.  After some minor modifications, the old JCC babysitting room will become our new Activity Room within the next few weeks.  A special thank you to Glenn Saucier, our Facilities Director, for working with the school to make this essential space available for our early years learners!

Monday, September 19, 2022  is our 34th Annual Bob Josephberg Classic Golf Tournament at the Cavalier Golf and Yacht Club.  This tournament is our school’s biggest fundraiser and we truly can’t thank the donors enough for supporting our school.  We are still looking for volunteers to help out during the event.  If you are interested please contact Andie Eichelbaum@ aeichelbaum@strelitzacademy.org

Applying Best Practice to School Safety requires practice.  Therefore, the campus will conduct a Lockdown Drill on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 9:15am; this drill will transition into an evacuation drill for all students. Children will transit from their respective spaces to the gym and a simulated evacuation. The drill will last approx. 30 min, please remain clear of the affected areas during the drill, during the lockdown phase no entry will be allowed to those areas.  If you are in the building during the initial lockdown you will be required to participate.

“SIA Camp JCC Summer 2023 Early Enrollment” is now open. Registration and payment is online through Camp JCC’s parent dashboard which can also be accessed at CampJCC.org. When registering, please select the 2023 program year.

Summer Camp 2023: (Current EY3 - Grade 5)

Camp JCC is a day camp with great traditions, a state-of-the-art facility, and an outstanding staff! Camp JCC offers an atmosphere of spirit, togetherness, and fun. 

SIA families are eligible for special pricing until September 15th.

• $2,050 for the summer (ONLY when registered by September 15!)
• Includes 8 weeks of camp, June 20th-August 11th and before care/after (7:30am-6:00pm) care for all 8 weeks. (A 40% discount on JCC Member rate)
• Does not include Last Blast (August 14-18) which can be added separately at standard Camp JCC Pricing.
• Not able to be prorated if desiring less than 8 weeks of camp.
• Current SIA families MUST register by September 15 to receive special SIA rate.
• Non-refundable if canceled mid-year.

Payment Schedules:

• Register by September 15 and pay in 8 equal monthly payments on the 15th of each month from October 15, 2022 to May 15, 2023. $205/month for Summer Camp.
• If registering between August 15 and September 15, families will pay two installments on September 15, $410 for Summer Camp, and then the remaining months through May 15, 2023 will follow the schedule above.
• Registration MUST BE COMPLETE by September 15th to receive special SIA rates.

Invitations to out of school parties may not be handed out on school property. Please refrain from scheduling parties on Shabbat or Jewish holidays in order to be inclusive of all classmates who may observe Shabbat. 

Due to allergies and dietary restrictions, SIA does not allow outside food and treats to be brought in to school for birthdays. We encourage families to order cupcakes or cookies through the Campus Cardo Cafe. 

1) Please order at least a week in advance. 

2) Confirm the treat date and time with your child's teacher. 

3) Complete the form and payment and give to Linda in the front office.

4) Linda Bridges will deliver the order to your child's classroom at the arranged date and time. 

This Fun Day takes place during our big Super Sunday event, a powerful day on which volunteers, donors, and community members come together to make a difference! 

With a focus on Tzdakah, children of all ages can take part in the spirit of giving back and helping our community through games, activities, crafts, and more!
