SHPE MEMBER HIGHLIGHT: CARLOS GUTIERREZ

Carlos Gutierrez is an Engineering PhD candidate and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Rochester Institute of Technology. He has a background in computational thermal biophysics and a focus on breast cancer detection. Carlos has contributed to SHPE by promoting professional development and networking events for graduate and undergraduate students. His commitment to SHPE's mission is evident through his roles as Chapter President, RIT Graduate Chair, and Membership Director.

SHPE’s pre-college program is hosting a FREE Virtual STEM lab on Wednesday, June 26 at 7-9pm ET and Thursday, June 27 at 5-7pm ET! This month’s theme is “Celebrating Pride Month!” and is generously sponsored by Bechtel! This event is open to ALL K-12 students and provides a fun hands-on STEM activity while learning about STEM careers and the intersectionality of our member’s identities. Registration closes TOMORROW.
