This 32-hour course will complete the Classroom Training Phase (Phase 1) of the radar certification process. Phase 2, Field Training, must be completed at your Area within 90 days of the successful completion of the Classroom Training. After successfully completing the first two phases of the training, each officer will be required to certify with an Area Radar/Lidar Coordinator. The 8-hour Lidar portion of the course will cover the scientific Principles of Lidar, Equipment Operation and Tactics, Health and Safety Concerns, and Legal considerations. At the conclusion of this course and with successful completion of field training personnel will be certified in the use of Radar/Lidar. |
