SGP Patron Takes Center State at SB ’18
SGP Board Member, Joe Stapley, Noble Environmental, presented at the recent Sustainable Brands '18 held in Vancouver. "At SB '18 people aren’t there to brag about what they are doing, they are there to talk to people about what they are doing,” commented Stapley. Noble Environmental Technologies (ECOR) did just that by providing all show signage and many visual elements including all of the staging. ECOR was developed to create building and design material from cellular waste fibers, which gets transformed into an Advanced Environmental Composite Panel. "ECOR is a fantastic example of the Circular Economy in action, by taking waste and turning it into something you can buy, use or sell. ECOR empowers companies to be able to do that by taking their own waste and turning it into a usable material," he added.
SB ’18 allowed for thought-provoking conversations and breakout sessions with active dialogue focused on making real, sustainable changes. In addition to providing signage materials, Stapley participated in a panel discussion, “Redesigning Sustainable Exhibitions.” During his presentation, he highlighted not only the need to use sustainable materials, but encouraged attendees to consider if the item was printed in a sustainable manner. He talked about how the SGP program provides the assurance that they are using the most sustainable print supply chain.
The SB events educate brands to help them shift towards a sustainable economy through environmental and social innovation. Stapley's presentation and promotion of SGP gave the audience knowledge on how they can assure a more sustainable supply chain by working with SGP Printers.
