Annette Erdozainey always demonstrates kindness, perseverance, dedication and compassion as a CASA since being sworn in and being matched with a young person in November 2023.
Her commitment, tenacity and amazing social-emotional skills have led to relationship building with the youth and every single stakeholder on the team. That says so much since the assigned Social Worker changed 3 times!
One of her notable achievements was advocating for and supporting her young person’s transition/move to a relative placement in Rhode Island this summer. At the same time she made an effort to drive to Tracy every 10 days to connect in person and maintain their growing bond.
Annette consistently thinks outside of the box and collaborating as her Case Supervisor is a privilege and reminds me of what it means to truly show up for someone. Also, Annette’s sense of humor always lightens the case challenges.
Despite these challenges encountered along the way, Annette persevered, never faltering in her dedication and advocacy. Through her enormous efforts, Annette has cultivated a unique and meaningful relationship with her assigned youth, that will surely have a lasting impact that extends into the future.
As an organization, we are profoundly grateful for the countless hours, miles traveled, and emotional investment that Annette has contributed toward the well-being of the youth she serves. She exemplifies what it means to be an outstanding CASA and, more importantly, a remarkable human being. Thank you, Annette, for your remarkable service and unwavering commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.

CCN - CASA COMMUNITY NETWORK HUDDLE
The CASA Community Network (CCN) is a network for CASAs, organized by CASAs and hosted by CASAs. We share, lean in and on, and support each other through events, such as The Huddle. Sometimes we learn from expert guest speakers in continuing education sessions. In The Huddle, we learn from experts – ourselves – we have collective years of expertise among us. We are a network of support – who better understands the ups, the downs, the joys, the challenges than we do.

SUPPORTING YOUTH THROUGH A PLACEMENT CHANGE WORKSHOP with Allison Roeser

These changes are impactful for youth and can range from feeling positive and welcomed to challenging and unwanted. Allison Roeser will support us as we learn from experienced CASAs, sharing real-life examples on how we can assist our youth during a placement change. CASA staff will also share some tips and guidelines to help along the way. In this workshop format, participants will have time to talk with each other and ask questions in small groups. You’ll leave with clear next steps and strategies on how you can support your youth during this tender time.
