Hello SDSD Family!
As we bring our inspiring 2023-2024 dance season to a close, I want to express my deepest gratitude to all of you. Your continued trust in Stage Door School of Dance and your commitment to nurturing your children’s passion for dance have made this year truly special for all us here at the studio. Watching your dancers grow, excel, and find joy in their craft is always incredibly rewarding, and it would never be possible without the unwavering support of our dedicated parents and guardians. Thank you for being an integral part of our Stage Door family.
With the end of another incredible dance season comes the excitement of the SDSD Recital, aka. the #BestShowEver! It was an absolute privilege to welcome everyone into the studio for our in-studio dress rehearsals over the past few weeks. Seeing our dancers' eyes sparkle as brightly as their costumes right before your eyes is an experience beyond words. Thank you to all the families who joined us for a sneak peek of your dancer's performance. Your support means the world to us, and even more to your dancers!
Don't forget that the recital will take place at the Staller Center for the Arts located on the Stony Brook University Campus on June 8 (10am, 2pm, 6pm) & June 9 (10am, 2pm, 6pm). Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to park the car and check your dancer in 45 minutes before curtain.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to remind you that our five-week Summer 2024 classes will start on July 8. Summer is the perfect time for dancers to explore new genres and expand skills. By taking multiple classes, your dancer can stay active and engaged in the art they love all summer long, all while having some much needed downtime from their screens. Our SDSD summer also includes an array of day camps, Fine Arts Club, and three free local performances: the Patchogue July 4th Parade, the Bellport Day Festival (12pm), and our annual SDSD Bellport Dock Show (7pm). It's sure to be a memorable dance-filled summer, and we hope your family will join in the SDSD fun!
Our 2024-2025 dance season, kicking off on September 5, is now also open for enrollment. We invite you to get a jump start by setting your dancer up for another thrilling year of growth, success, creativity, friendships, and unforgettable fun. Now is the perfect time to secure all your favorite classes and take full control of your recital experience for next year. We've already assigned classes to specific recital performances for your family's convenience, making it easier than ever to plan ahead and enjoy next year's show!
