A message from our Board of Directors...
Even though some stores are selling Halloween merchandise already - it's still August, and we are determined to enjoy the summer as long as possible! ;)
At July's luncheon, the SCBA was happy to have another one of our scholarship recipients in attendance. We are truly honored to have been a small part of helping five local students this year.
The SCBA’s only fundraiser of the year, our annual Golf Tournament, is coming up September 24th. 100% of the net proceeds from the tournament goes to the SCBA Scholarship Fund. Please join us this year and recruit your friends and fellow golfers! Information is listed in this newsletter and on our
website. We thank Dave Burrows, who runs the tournament each year, as well as the Golf Committee members, volunteers, sponsors, and golfers. We are extremely grateful for all that you do.
It's a great time to join the SCBA and invite a friend to join - our membership dues decreased to $75 on July 1st through the end of this year.

Upcoming SCBA Golf Tournament
|
|
The SCBA's Annual Golf Tournament will be held Tuesday, September 24th at 9am at The Links at Challedon in Mt. Airy, MD. This event is the SCBA's only fundraiser each year with 100% of the net proceeds going directly to the SCBA's Scholarship fund. This fund gives local high school students money toward their future college endeavors. Please consider either being a golfer, a sponsor, or both - it's a great cause and a super fun day!
