SBDC Business Advisor Attends 2023 MWBE Regional Opportunities Expo

On Tuesday, June 20, Stony Brook SBDC Business Advisor Jacqueline R. Franco attended Empire State Development's 2023 MWBE Regional Opportunities Expo at New York City College of Technology (CUNY). During the expo, Jacqueline was able to meet in person Dalsie Andrade, the Director of Business Development at the NYS Division of Minority and Women's Business Development (DMWBD), and Doni Soro from the DMWBD Business Development Unit, who has been instrumental in assisting both Jacqueline and her clients.

This event also provided opportunities for networking with several companies, including New York Power Authority, Halmar International, Skanska, New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF), NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development, and more.

These connections and events allow us to continue our initiative in assisting Hispanic business achieve their full potential.
