Congratulations to
Phyllis Junor!

Phyllis Junor is the newest recipient of Gamma Phi Delta Sorority Living Pearls!

Gamma Phi Delta is a historic black sorority founded on a historically black college campus in Michigan. Women striving to better the lives of those in their communities and are about the business and professional development of all black women.

The selection of Thirteen Original Pearls of Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Inc. was finalized in June of 1953 by the National Organization. These were women who made outstanding contributions to the Organization in the formation period and in the expansion process.

Gamma Phi Delta Sorority established "Living Pearls" in 1976. Because of the need to maintain thirteen active Pearls in Gamma Phi Delta, it was adopted by the Convention in session at Detroit, Michigan on July 29, 1976, to establish the "THIRTEEN LIVING PEARLS" by election. This group does not replace the "PEARLS" named by the Organization as previously mentioned. Those Pearls will always remain as established. Pearls, in both categories, upon demise, shall become "PEARLS-IN-MEMORIAM".

Congratulations to Sister Phyllis Junor on her legacy of leadership and giving to her noble sorority, our community, and our Church Family. A well-deserved honor!
