FOR ACTION: IMMEDIATE

TIME SENSITIVE

Hi everyone!

We have a few more action items and details to bring to your attention during this critical week of action.

First, and most importantly, if any of you have a personal relationship with a state representative, please reach out to them even if they are not in your district. They are more likely to listen to someone they know and your message can be quite impactful.

Secondly, based on feedback from members, we are concerned that we may not have everyone's practice locations or home addresses on record.

Please take a moment to review all your practice locations and residential towns using this public link to ensure comprehensive coverage of all your representatives.

PRO TIP - The State Representative profiles on the web site have biographies that, have proven helpful for members prior to lawmaker outreach. Review them!

Third, an oversight: We forgot to mention our website www.trustedeyecarenh.com, in the email script, which is important to include if you have not sent emails already.

Here’s another example email, including the website which was beautifully written by Dr. Patricia Daldine with an excerpt from Dr. David MacKay. Feel free to mix and match with any of these examples or customize your own!

Lastly, we want to ensure that everyone received BOTH emails from me and Dr. Sawyer on Tuesday with the communication instructions for your representatives. If they did not make it to your inbox, please respond to this email and we will provide you with the information you need.

Call, then email, then record. Let's go get em!

NOW IS THE TIME TO CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVE!!!

SB 440 LIVE CALL BULLETS

Importantly, if you are asked a question that involves particulars of the bill, such as "why is something written the way it is?", let them know that Curtis Barry or one of the legislative co-chairs will get back to your lawmaker. It's okay to not have the answers.

If your lawmaker does not answer the phone, leave a brief voicemail with some details about the bill. Feel free to incorporate talking points from above, and we've also included two pre-written voicemail scripts for your reference or customization.

While phone calls are strongly desired and are the most effective, a tailored and thoughtful email can be an effective, secondary tool.

Help us finish strong by emailing your lawmaker(s) today.

STEP 3 is a critical to provide information to our Legislative Committee in the days (and hours) leading up to the House vote.Do not ignore this step!

Members are encouraged to complete this form whenever there are updates (ie. lawmaker called you back and was supportive/not supportive).
If your Representative has questions, please email our lobbyist, Curtis Barry, at curtis@barrygr.com so that we can get answers to them immediately.
