Special thanks to Jim Howe from LandrumHR for sharing the 2024 workforce trends and some steps we can take to add the process to people in our journey to creating attractive workplaces. We had the opportunity to have intentional conversations with partners and discover better ways to serve the area. Special thanks to LandrumHR for joining us in co-sponsoring the event, and to Innovation Portal for hosting!

Partners in Workforce: "Skills for Success"

Over 40 individuals convened for the Partners in Workforce meeting on February 20 in Thomasville, Alabama. Dr. Josh Duplantis, the Dean of Workforce and Economic Development at Coastal Alabama Community College, introduced the Alabama Community College System’s rapid workforce training program, Skills for Success. This program, devised in collaboration with the state’s businesses and industries, ensures that the training provided is tailored to the precise skills demanded by employers to address job vacancies. Notably, participants can access the Skills for Success training at zero expense.

Mark your calendars for the next Partners in Workforce meeting scheduled for May 21 in Monroeville, Alabama.
