Board of Education Passes Resolution Proclaiming September 2024 as Deaf Awareness Month

The SAUSD Board of Education at its Aug. 27, 2024 meeting passed a resolution proclaiming September 2024 as Deaf Awareness Month. This resolution aims to increase awareness about the culture and issues faced by the deaf community and promote equal access to information and services. SAUSD Schools Celebrate Back to School Night 2024

It’s that time of year again when our schools welcome families to campus to kick off a successful new school year! SAUSD elementary schools celebrated Back to School Night on Aug. 22, 2024 (click here for photos), and high schools celebrated on Aug. 29, 2024 (click here for photos). Back to School Night for SAUSD intermediate schools is scheduled for Sept. 5, 2024. Be sure to check with your child’s school for full details.

Villa Fundamental Intermediate School Unveils Time Capsule in 25th Anniversary Celebration

Villa Fundamental Intermediate School celebrated its 25th anniversary with a blast from the past! The event featured the opening of a time capsule buried on June 7, 1999, revealing treasures such as old cassettes, newspapers, baseballs, photos, school reports, and event programs.  The celebration was attended by a wonderful mix of community members, including former and current students, families, staff, and past principals and Board Members Carolyn Torres and Hector Bustos. 3rd Annual College and Career Community Resource Fair Coming Sept. 12, 2024

Join us on Sept. 12, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Santa Ana Zoo for our 3rd Annual College and Career Community Resource Fair! Superintendent Jerry Almendarez invites the SAUSD community to this exciting event, featuring valuable resources and opportunities for students and families. 2024 SAUSD State of the District Breakfast: Nov. 1, 2024

SAUSD community partners, parents, and guardians are invited to the 2024 SAUSD State of the District Breakfast on Nov. 1, 2024, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Godinez Fundamental High School.
