Community Alert: Protect Our Schools! Report Suspicious Activity in SAUSD Now


We are witnessing a concerning rise in thefts and vandalism at our school sites in the Santa Ana Unified School District and across the region. Our schools are vital to the education and wellbeing of our children, and we must all play a part in protecting these precious spaces. If you see anything suspicious around our school sites, please don't hesitate to act. Your vigilance is key in safeguarding our educational environments. By working together, we can ensure that our schools remain safe and nurturing places for our students to learn and grow. Report any suspicious activities immediately to our School Police at 714-558-5535.

SAUSD teams up with OC Parks & Inside the Outdoors for Carver Elementary's TK Kinder Butterfly Unit


Carver Elementary partnered with OC Parks and Inside the Outdoors to take their young explorers on a memorable journey to Mile Square Park's butterfly garden. Led by their TK and Kinder teachers, the students delved into the captivating realm of butterflies, experiencing the wonders of nature up close. Click here to watch a short video. 

2024 OC LGBTQ+ Youth Convening


A day of empowerment, inclusivity, and celebration! SAUSD was honored to host at Segerstrom High School the 2024 OC LGBTQ+ Youth Convening. Our students and community came together to support and uplift each other, fostering a safe and welcoming environment for all. Special thanks to School Board member Hector Bustos for providing an impactful address to attendees and for his support to this event. Let's continue to champion diversity and stand proud! OCTA Seeks Teen Leaders to Help Shape O.C.’s Transportation Future 


The Orange County Transportation Authority is accepting applications for its Teen Council, a group that allows high school students to learn about transportation-related topics while providing OCTA with valuable feedback on a wide range of projects and programs. 

 

Students selected for the council will serve a one-year term and meet every other month during the 2024-25 school year. The program will have a total of six meetings, with the first beginning in August. 

 

Applications are due by May 31 and can be found at octa.net/TeenCouncil.
