The first program of the festival opens with Haydn's A major Piano Trio, a delightfully witty precursor to the lyrical brilliance that follows. Mendelssohn's Piano Quartet exudes youthful exuberance and showcases the composer's burgeoning genius. The program culminates in Brahms' String Sextet No. 2, which is a testament to the Romantic era's depth and emotion with its lush tapestry of sound.
