“Sparkle away!”

-Someone somewhere once said this

I'm in awe of the calendar [wide-eyed blank stare at the month of June]. Regardless of my disbelief, we have a 'bangin' weekend coming up! Fireworks, sparklers and hot dogs galore are in our future...and I CAN'T WAIT!

July 4th is a chart-topper for fav' holidays. Backyard BBQs, boat rides, pool parties, parades, festivals, campfires and of course the light shows in the sky ensure this holiday to be a memory-maker! For example, raise your hand if you've found yourself stuck inside a house with a screaming and terrified child during the grand finale of a fireworks display? Or perhaps your friend once left a box of mortars too close to a campfire and the last words you hear are, "RUUUUN!!!". Aaaaaah, memories!

A holiday weekend typically promises a busy weekend. As we approach the holiday and we prepare the red, white & blue attire, the menus, and the fun...be prepared to wave your flag a little harder and a little longer come the 4th. Let's celebrate our independence, together, and be grateful for this amazing country that we call home.

“Home of the free because of the brave.”

- Hoda Kotb

We live in a great nation and there is much to celebrate. Yes, there will be hot dogs and fireworks [so excited], but let's not forget our favorite side dish: patriotism! Be safe and salute my friends!
