Project Update: Green Infrastructure Assessments for Coastal Resilience
The Southeast Michigan Council of Governments and Center for Watershed Protection were awarded a Michigan Coastal Management Grant to assess locations to build coastal resilience in Southeast Michigan. Through this grant, the project team coordinated with communities to identify high-priority, publicly-owned properties and assess feasibility for green infrastructure.

My Favorite shows were The Cosby Show and A different World. I still watch reruns to this day.

Which sea creature is your favorite?
I love whales and dolphins.

What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time?
I read murder mystery books and do needlepoint.

What’s your favorite river?
Dunn River Falls in Jamacia because it is the first river I climbed.

What's the strangest talent you have?
I love NHRA car races. I have driven a few. That would be the national Hot Rod Associations.

If you could have any one superpower, which would you choose?
I would like to read minds and predict the future. Both would allow me to save people from harm.

If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you would buy?
First, I would donate money to my church and the school. I would pay off my mortgage and then buy a light blue two door Coupe Convertible Bentley.

What do you want to make sure you do before you die?
Visit more countries and meet more people.

Join the Center for Watershed Protection (CWP) team and use your skills to make a substantial difference in watershed practices across the nation. We are looking to hire a mid-level water resources engineer OR a landscape architect. Preference for candidates that live in Pennsylvania, but this is a remote position and applicants will be considered anywhere in the U.S. based on qualifications.

We heard through the grapevine that Tom Schueler, the great founder of the Center for Watershed Protection is retiring from his post at the Chesapeake Stormwater Network. For those of you who know him, you know that he is a gifted and special person known for his innovation in the stormwater and watershed field. Here are just some of the wonderful projects, innovations, and programs that you can attribute to Tom.

The Center for Watershed Protection, Inc. is now accepting abstracts from those interested in presenting at our 2023 Agriculture & Watershed Symposium. The Conference will take place on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 and Thursday, October 19, 2023 in Fulton, Maryland.

2023 Webcast 6: Behavior Change For Stormwater and Wastewater

Description: Program evaluation techniques help us to identify strategies for moving public behaviors to facilitate better stormwater and wastewater conveyance and treatment. We discuss strategies for community engagement that result in better protection of storm drains; reducing fat, oil, and grease in wastewater infrastructure; and public reporting of infrastructure maintenance needs.
