Hello to our Run Tucson running and walking friends.

You all know the standard pricing model for the running event industry: raise prices every month and send out a marketing email reminding folks to take advantage of early-bird pricing.

Well, for the rest of our 2022 Run Tucson event season, we've decided to cap all of our pricing at current summer levels. We've already passed the deadlines for our super-early pricing, but we will NOT raise prices for the rest of the year.

We want you to have something affordable to aim for, to have a running and fitness goal that is reasonably priced so that you can run or walk with friends and family without breaking the bank.

So, the prices will stay the same from now all the way through race day for these events:
  • September 4th SAR's Saguaro National Park Labor Day 8-miler and 5k
  • September 19th TMC Tucson 10k/5k
  • October 23th TMC Get Moving 15k/5k at the Biosphere 2
  • November 5th Grand Canyon Trail Half Marathon and 5k on the Kaibab Plateau

Previously we've referenced some of the expenses incurred when producing a charity running event, including the t-shirts, medals, timing, permits, barricades for road closures, police for public safety, portojohns, prize money, music, food/drink, kids activities, charity donations, fees to partner organizations, payments to staff, and so forth. Pretty much all of these expenses have increased in recent years.

While we can't return to our lowest prices, we can try to avoid the high-end late pricing. We're especially grateful to TMC for their financial support, as well as the financial support of COX and Radiology Limited. If any of you know of other companies that would like to sponsor our events, by all means track us down!

In the meantime, we hope your summer goes well. See you at the races!
