Club Reports

Elk River Wranglers

July 21, 2024

For the Elk River Wranglers July meeting we did a BBQ silent auction at the Lower Glen in Clark on July 21. Each member provided a silent auction item. There were a lot of community members that came out to support our club. This is our annual fundraiser. We use the money to support our graduating seniors and member attendance at different retreats.

We also did record book check and talked about upcoming events and deadlines including Exhibit Day and Fair. Our next meeting will be August 4th at the Moonhill Schoolhouse.

Respectfully submitted,

Charlotte Heintz

Ranch House

August 17, 2024

The Ranch House 4-H Club participated in the fair parade and met at the Hayden Center at 9:30am. Members that participated on the float wore animal costumes, jeans and a nice shirt, or jeans and a 4-H shirt. The float was decorated with banners and members gave candy to the children. Paul's donated a truck trailer and hay bales to use as a float. Emily Hockaday rode her horse alongside the float. The club then won the choice award for being the only 4-H club in the parade.

Routt County 4-H Cloverbuds

What is a Cloverbud? Cloverbuds are members from 5-7 years old who are not quite ready to participate in many of the projects and activities that the rest of the older 4-H members participate in.

What can Cloverbuds do? The Cloverbud program is focused on participation, teamwork, and learning (not so much on competition). Several of our clubs host Cloverbud events during their regular monthly meetings, and our Routt County 4-H Junior Leaders host 5 Cloverbud workshops throughout the spring and summer to get our youngest members excited about 4-H.

Enrollment - $15/Cloverbud Member

Here is a LINK to how to enroll, and much more. Cloverbud members are not required to attend monthly meetings, but any member wanting to join the Cloverbud workshops must be enrolled as a Cloverbud member. Call our office with any questions - we are here to help you!
