Non-compete; Non-disclosure; and Non-solicitation –
What’s the Difference?
Restrictive covenants are agreements that define a party's capability to take specific actions. In business and employment law, the most common of these are non-compete, non-disclosure, and non-solicitation. Generally, these covenants are part of an employment agreement, and the purpose is to restrain the employees' ability to start a competing business or work with a competing company.

Restrictive covenants are
vital in a continually
changing competitive business environment.

Not closing on
your home on time, or at all?
One of the biggest financial choices people make in their lives is buying a home. Some like to treat it like going through a drive-thru, I’ll take a number 3, large, please… no different than pushing a few buttons for an online application with no real deep human interaction, someone willing to be vested, take the time for your best interest. What I share with everyone, “What you and I feel is common sense, the Federal Government can have a different expectation when it comes to getting a home loan.” A few buttons will not always pick up on all the details needed for a home loan. That is why we all hear stories of home loans not closing on time or at all. A home buyer will easily spend about $1,000 on inspections and appraisal, and then MOST lenders will start to dig DEEP into the loan specifics.

YOUR MONTHLY LEGAL TIPS
TIP #1 - Estate Planning Myth
You don't have to be wealthy. Everybody
can benefit from ensuring their assets and finances are properly taken care of after
their death.
TIP #2 - Protecting Your Children
If you have minor children, you should make sure you are designating a guardian to take care of them should something happen to you. Not only does this need to be in a will, but you should execute a separate designation of guardian to cover emergencies.
TIP #3 - Keep Beneficiaries Current
Don't forget to keep your beneficiary designations updated so they match your intentions.
