Oh how thankful we are!
Work Camp 2023 Recap
Last week our group of 50 leaders and students returned from a work-service trip to Alabama. During our week in the south we visited Montgomery, Selma, Birmingham, and Atlanta, Georgia. We experienced southern hospitality, southern food, and of course southern humidity. Every day we got to worship alongside each other and share in small groups and quiet time. Along with the 7 museums we attended we also were able to participate in two service projects. Our students and leaders worked alongside the volunteers of the Montgomery Food Bank as well as assisting the Dallas County Family Resource Center with their facility. Both of these service projects were just a small glimpse into the work that is happening down in Alabama. The Lord was so clearly active within each experience and moment together. We are all eager to share our experience and a paragraph summary does not encapsulate all the aspects from this trip. Thank you to the planning team, auction attendees, parents, and of course for the countless prayers. This trip would not have existed without all the support, thank you!

PS. Middle Schoolers don't forget that tomorrow is the Bike Hike Shakedown. Bring your bike, helmet, and water bottle! And don't forget to wear closed toed shoes. We will take a short ride that will end at Dairy Queen. Everyone is welcome to come, even if you aren't able to come on Bike Hike. Meet at the Youth Center, noon-2PM.
