PriorityOne Group also assists with selection of EMR system; serves as liaison for contracted IT services
Rutherford, NJ - May,31st 2013 - PriorityOne Group, a leading information technology provider for ambulatory surgery centers and medical practices, announces that Roosevelt Surgery Center selected PriorityOne Group for IT implementation and management.
Roosevelt Surgery Center is a new multi-specialty ASC located in New York on Manhattan's West Side. The surgery center is a joint venture between local surgeons, Ambulatory Surgical Centers of America (ASCOA) and Roosevelt Hospital, a member of the Continuum Health Partners network.
PriorityOne Group was selected as the ASC's IT solutions integrator early in the facility's development. PriorityOne Group managed and coordinated every aspect of the customized technology implementation, working closely with the ASC's architect, general contractors, third-party vendors and management team to complete the project on time and within budget.
Services provided by the PriorityOne Group team during the ASC's development included all IT hardware procurement, configuration and installation; selection, configuration and deployment of practice management and electronic medical records systems; identification of all cabling needs; and the design and installation of audio/video, surveillance and facility access controls. PriorityOne Group also served as the liaison for contracted services including telecommunications, alarms and cable television.
"We were fortunate to work with the impressive partners that came together to develop Roosevelt Surgery Center," said Nelson Gomes, President and CEO of PriorityOne Group. "The surgeons are leaders in their community, ASCOA is one of the nation's most respected ASC management companies and Continuum Health Partners is dedicated to providing high quality, award-winning healthcare. We are pleased they partnered with PriorityOne Group on this project because of our extensive experience working with ASCs and other healthcare providers."
Roosevelt Surgery Center is the first ASCOA surgery center to implement an EMR.
"When we were researching EMRs, members of the PriorityOne Group team joined us on site visits to evaluate different systems," said Laura Hofma Butrick, Vice President of Operations for ASCOA. "His insight and involvement in the EMR selection process was extremely valuable."
Lara Jordan, Vice President of Operations for ASCOA, adds, "PriorityOne Group understands the needs of ASCs. Nelson and his team have worked with us side-by-side from the very beginning of this project, and it's been a real pleasure working with them. They're professional and committed to ensuring Roosevelt Surgery Center is equipped with the technology to support our efforts to deliver clinical excellence."
Following completion of the ASC, PriorityOne Group was retained to provide 24x7 monitoring and support under a new managed services agreement. PriorityOne Group is also working with Roosevelt Surgery Center to ensure interoperability of its systems with the Continuum Health Partners network.
"We look forward to continuing to focus on the technology needs of Roosevelt Surgery Center to allow its physicians to focus on their true priority: high-quality patient care," Gomes said.
