🇺🇸 We hope you enjoyed a safe and happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸

Here are a few highlights since our last day of school.

Sophomore Charlie Fletter ended the 2024 season in great fashion, finishing in 21st place in the 3200 with a 12-second PR. Charlie is the 3rd fastest 2-miler in school history with a time of 11:09.96, only 3 seconds off the school record!

BANNER AUCTION SITE

PLEASE NOTE - The banners being sold are the original banners that hung in the Bishop Chartrand gymnasium (aka The Woodshed). ALL of our championships are now being recognized in the Ascension St. Vincent gym for the world to see! The ceiling in the ASV is too high for banners, so we thought our community might enjoy displaying them in their homes! Please stop by the school to tour the new gym if you haven't seen it yet!

"R" SHIRT 2024-2025

The "R" Shirt is an optional uniform garment that allows the student to be out of uniform once a month on the designated "R" Shirt Day. The "R" shirt is available in a short or long-sleeve tee, as well as a crewneck sweatshirt.

Check social media and your email for ordering link coming soon! Pick-up will be at the uniform and spiritwear sale. Extra "R" shirts will be available for purchase at the sale.

YEARBOOK

All other students will receive their books on the first day of the 2024-25 school year. Questions? Email Julie Albertson, journalism teacher, at jalbertson@roncalli.org. ATTENTION: PARENTS/GUARDIANS

2024 - 2025 SCHOOL YEAR IMMUNIZATIONS

The Indiana State Department of Health and Department of Education has required immunizations for every student enrolled in an Indiana school. Roncalli High School must follow these requirements to stay in compliance, even if a physician’s immunization and dosing schedules show more flexibility.

County Health Departments can assist with these vaccinations.

Religious and medical exemptions are allowed. Every school year, a new exemption form must be signed and on file!

Please send proof of immunization documentation to the Guidance Department - Mary Sheets fax: 317-788-2282; email: msheets@roncalli.org or call with questions: 317-787-8277 ext. 232.

NEWS FROM THE RONCALLI CAFETERIA

If your children are eligible for free or reduced meals this school year, they

will also be eligible to receive SUN Bucks this summer.

SUN Bucks is a new program to help families buy food for their school-

aged children during the summer. Families will get $120 for each eligible

child to buy groceries during the summer. Children who get SUN Bucks can

still participate in other summer meal programs.

How does SUN Bucks work? In Indiana, SUN Bucks will be loaded onto an

EBT card and mailed to your home. If eligible, you can use SUN Bucks

benefits to buy food like fruits, vegetables, meat, whole grains and dairy at

grocery stores, farmers markets and other places that accept SNAP EBT

benefits. SUN Bucks is a convenient way for you to help your children

thrive.

How do I enroll my child in SUN Bucks? If your household has already

been notified of automatic eligibility, your child will be automatically enrolled

in the SUN Bucks program. You do not need to fill out an application. You

will get a card in the mail sent to the address your child's school has on file.

If you are not automatically enrolled and believe your children are eligible,

you can apply to receive SUN Bucks by filling out a simple application. Visit

https://indianasunbucks.com to complete the application.

For more information, visit: https://in.gov/doe/nutrition/indiana-sun-bucks-

summer-ebt or call the Roncalli cafeteria office at (317)788-4099.

FREE SUMMER LUNCHES

Again this year, Franklin Township Community School Corporation is offering the USDA federally funded Summer Servings Program from Monday, June 3 through Friday, July 19. All sites will be closed June 19 and July 4 & 5. There will be four locations in which children up to the age of 18 can receive lunch at no cost. Children do not have to live in Franklin Township, but meals must be eaten at the site where they are served. Limit 1 meal per child.
