Roselani Place and Ola Na Mele Productions invite you to join our residents to a Picnic for Poki at 11:00 AM at the Historic Kaahumanu Church in Wailuku Town, 103 South High Street on Thursday,February 15, 2018. Enjoy live Hawaiian Music with musical guest Ron Kuala'au, joined by Keoki Ruiz.

 

Singer-songwriter Ron Kuala'au was born in Honolulu and raised in Kailua on the windward side of O'ahu, Ron's earliest memories are of large family gatherings with lots of music and singing. In the early 1980s Ron moved to Maui and began performing professionally, finding audiences who resonated with his soulful vocals and beautifully penned Hawaiian songs. 

Ron will be joined by Keoki Ruiz, a veteran of Maui's music scene, Keoki Ruiz has opened for international recording artists Earl Klugh and the Rippingtons. His group has performed at the Maui Music Festival in 1995 and 1996. Keoki has been known to add Latin elements to his slack key pieces.

Take a mid-day break and enjoy the beautiful sounds of Hawaii . There w ill be delicious fresh baked cookies and coffee from the Roselani Place kitchen. Bring you r lunch, a lawn chair, and most importantly, bring a friend.

  

Picnic for Poki is held every third Thursday on the month to continue bringing the spirit of aloha and Hawaiian music to the Maui community in honor of the late Allen "Braddah Poki" Pokipala.
