Top Project of 2023

Roanoke County Economic Development was awarded the Top Project of 2023 by the Virginia Economic Developers Association. Roanoke County's Economic Development Department staff, along with Supervisor Phil North, explain what the 2023 Wells Fargo Bank expansion means for Roanoke County, and the estimated economic impacts to our region. Scott Ramsburg and Roanoke Valley Television (RVTV) did an incredible job with the creative direction and production of the video.

Roanoke Valley Libraries launch new app

Roanoke Valley Libraries (RVL), consisting of libraries in Botetourt County, City of Roanoke, City of Salem, and County of Roanoke, has launched a new app, RVL Mobile, allowing patrons to take a Roanoke Valley Library with them on the go.


RVL Mobile features:

•   Digital Library Card

•   Catalog Searching

•   Manage Library Account and Holds

•   View and Register for Library Events

•   Mobile Checkout

•   Library Hours, Locations, and Services

•   Meeting Room Bookings

•   Online Learning Resources

With the app, patrons will have a one-stop-shop for library needs, including reading eBooks and eMaterials. The app works on phones and tablets. Download from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. For assistance, visit a Roanoke Valley Library near you.
