Riverwalk

We held our May Weekday event at the Riverwalk Golf Club in the heart of Mission Valley in San Diego. There were 18 of us who came out to play on a cool day – a great weather day for golf! Tee times started at 10:00, so we got to sleep in a little! 

Our Game of the Day was Sweet Sixteen. We threw out the worst hole on the front and back nines, leaving 16 counting holes. We also had the Closest to the Pin on Hole 5, where we had 2 flights. 

We held our 19^th-hole festivities inside the restaurant, where players enjoyed delicious appetizers and beverages,before the game results were announced.

1st Place winners received a $20 Golf Mart Gift Card; 2nd Place Winners and CTTP Winners received a $10 Golf Mart Gift Card

Players Cup Update

2024 San Diego Players Cup Sponsored by Golf Mart

Our 9th eligible Players Cup event for the 2024 season was at Riverwalk for our May Midweek Event. ½ points were allocated to those placing in the top 12.

Gross Division:

The top 7 spots stay in the same order, but Deb Finlon’s lead is being eaten into. Stacey Hayashi is now only 4 points back instead of 8.5.

One of the big movers is Margaret Ashwell, jumping up to 7^th place and bumping Dina Mauger down. Margaret shot an 88, coming in 2^nd place at Riverwalk. The other mover was Ashley Stone, getting herself onto the Leaderboard with the Low Gross of the Day at Riverwalk, shooting an 82. 

Net Division:

The top 10 stay the same. The big mover in the Net division is Mindy Sam Davis, who shot a net 79 and moved up into the Top 12

Our next eligible event was the event at Singing Hills on Sunday, May 26th. Normal Players Cup points will be awarded to those who best the field!
