SANTA & MRS. CLAUS TO ARRIVE IN RIVERTON ON DECEMBER 2
Family and friends gather every year in Riverton to greet Santa Claus as he arrives with Mrs. Claus in a bright red fire engine! Kids will have the opportunity to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus and write letters for what they would like for Christmas, as well as make crafts and decorate cookies. There will be warm scones with honey butter and hot chocolate available, as well as marshmallows for roasting. It's the perfect free family night out!

'TWAS THE LIGHTS BEFORE CHRISTMAS
Come enjoy a NEW Christmas tradition in Riverton this year at   ‘Twas the Lights Before Christmas!  You’ll drive through Riverton City Park to read "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" on giant storyboards and enjoy the fun lights. The event is sure to get you in the Christmas spirit! We recommend going out for a cup of hot chocolate after you get through the park. Cost is $10 per vehicle.

COMMUNITY INVITED TO CHRISTMAS NIGHT OF MUSIC CONCERT
Join us for an evening of festive music at Riverton City's fourth annual Christmas Night of Music Concert on Monday, December 9, at 7 p.m. at the Riverton High School Auditorium. A community choir of over 100 voices and local orchestra will provide the music for the evening. The event is free and open to all. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

JOIN THE CHOIR
We're still looking for about a dozen people to join the choir! If you're interested, you'll need to be at the practice on Thursday, November 21 at 8:30 p.m. Practices are held weekly on Thursday evenings from 8:30-10 p.m. at the Sandra N. SUBMISSIONS DUE NOVEMBER 22 FOR RIVERTON CITY'S CHRISTMAS CARD DESIGN CONTEST
Riverton City is again hosting a design contest for the city’s official Christmas card! Participants must be a student enrolled in a Riverton elementary school or be a Riverton resident of elementary school age. Designs must be submitted in landscape format and be able to fit or shrink to a 5x7 inch size. Submissions must be received by the end of the day on Friday, November 22.

The winner will receive a $100 Walmart gift card!
CHRISTMAS LIGHTING CONTEST COMING UP IN DECEMBER
Riverton residents who put up awesome Christmas light displays at their home/yard are encouraged to enter Riverton City's first-ever Christmas Lighting Contest! The entry period for the contest is December 2-13.

Contest Prizes
1st Place - $100
2nd Place - $75
3rd Place - $50

HELP HONOR A VETERAN BURIED AT RIVERTON CITY CEMETERY WITH A CHRISTMAS WREATH
Help us reach our goal of placing a wreath at every veteran's grave in the Riverton City Cemetery this Christmas! We are up to 106 wreaths sponsored so far and have 218 to go.

We invite you to sponsor a $15 wreath through the Wreaths Across America program. The deadline to purchase is December 2.

All are invited to a special program on Saturday, December 14, at 10 a.m. to see the new veterans monument at Riverton City Cemetery be unveiled and to help place wreaths at veteran's graves.
DONATE ITEMS TO HELP THOSE IN NEED THIS CHRISTMAS
Donate items to help those in need for the holidays! Click on the button below for a list of items to donate. Donations may be dropped off at the Parks & Recreation window at Riverton City Hall until Friday, December 13. Items may also be donated at Santa’s Arrival on December 2. All items must be new and unwrapped.

Candy Cane Corner is an annual holiday donation drive sponsored by The Road Home and Volunteers of America.
DONATIONS SOUGHT FOR PET RESCUE ORGANIZATIONS
Riverton City is collecting new and gently used pet toys and supplies to donate to the rescue organizations who have been so good to take in and help find homes for unclaimed pets picked up by our Animal Control Department. We wanted to invite you to donate an item or two if you are able to help us express our gratitude. We hope to deliver the items before Christmas.

If you're willing to donate, please bring items to Riverton City Hall, Room 105, and ask for Trish by Monday, December 16.
