Message from the Riverfest Committee
Happy Easter, Everyone!
We are only 9-weeks away!
Please visit our website as we continue to update the site frequently. We have added additional pages to highlight our 2024 Sponsors! We have also added pages dedicated to the Parade and Mobile Food Vendors. So, we will have our full schedule on there as well. So, stay tuned.
As a reminder, we have our Riverfest Committee scheduled for April 4, 2024 at 5:30pm at Fortune Transportation.
Here is a list of our topics planned for this meeting:
- Sponsorships and Fundraisers - We need to discuss and plan a date for McRiverfest as well as a community cookout or other activity. (Request: We need a representative from McDonald's to attend, please.)
- Advertising - Last year we spent a lot of money due to the entertainment. We are looking for a community member or business to help us with marketing. Please join us if you are willing to help!
- Permits - I have spoken with the city regarding permits. THANK YOU Jon! If you are the owner of an event, it is your responsibitliy to reach out to the city to ensure everything is handled.
- Fireworks - Just looking for an update. Is there anything needed from the committee?
- Medallion Hunt - We need to confirm if the Medallion Hunt is going to start on Monday or Tuesday. We need this for marketing reasons. (Request: We need a representative from WindomNet to attend the meeting to give us a brief update, please.
- 5K - I see we have a plan to hold the 5K with a location around Cottonwood Lake. I just need an update on this to make sure everyone is on the same page.
- Other event updates - Just a general discussion on status.
- Next Meeting planned for April 18, 2024. Details to follow.

Here is our breakdown by day:
- Monday = $1500+ (Community Cookout / Live Music)
Thursday = $800 (Pedal Pull / Mobile Food Vendor(s))

- Friday = $13,500+ (Fireworks / Live Music - Neon Knights)
- Saturday = $5000 (Family Events / Parade / Movie Night)
- Sunday = $4000 ("Sunday Funday" / Duck Raffle)
