Follow the Spring Bird
Migration Using BirdCast
|
For the next few weeks, millions of birds will migrate across the US, mostly in the dark of night.
BirdCast is a website created and run by researchers from Cornell, Colorado State University, UMass Amherst and with other partners, which explores the wonder of bird migration. Using radar and other high-tech measurements, BirdCast measures waves of migration and the effects of light pollution on birds' routes.
