On September 22nd, we celebrate balance in the rhythm and ritual of nature as we say farewell to summer and welcome fall. Autumn Equinox is a time to reflect, to create balance and to set intention. Like nature, we internally possess a continuing rhythm. Our breath, our patterns and our rituals lay shape to all that we create and enjoy.

At Beyond, we are excited to present a robust fall schedule with an array of classes. We have upcoming workshops and trainings that can ignite that spark of new rhythms with crystal bowl sound baths and yoga nidra, or build rituals with meditation, asana and pranayama practices. Our offerings are intended to help you shift inward, connect to the changing season and support you in your own unique rhythm and ritual.

We embrace this seasonal shift, the opportunity to cultivate awareness and balance and we look forward to continuing our journey with you into autumn.

Studio Information
In-studio Experience
Proof of Vaccination Requirement:
  • As mandated by the government of Ontario, we are implementing a mandatory vaccination policy beginning September 22nd. Proof of full vaccination must be presented to participate in all in-studio classes, workshops, training and events.

Health Assessments:
  • Please continue to do your own health assessments and do not come to the studio if you have any symptoms, are feeling unwell, or have been in contact with someone who may have COVID-19.

Pre-registration for in-studio classes:
  • Beginning on Monday, September 20th, we are extending the pre-registration period for in-studio classes to 14 days. Virtual class registration remains unchanged.

Connecting Through Community
We recognize that one of the most wonderful aspects of Beyond is our community and our opportunity to connect. We are happy to announce the return of our community lounge seating!

We will also make available our infused water for you to enjoy in our lounge space. We ask that you keep your masks on when moving around the studio but they can be removed when you are seated in the lounge area. Please do not move the chairs as they will be spaced at least 6 feet apart to maintain social distancing.
Virtual Meditation Series: Regulating the Nervous System through Breath and Meditation
For many, our current lived experience leaves us feeling stressed and dysregulated. The yoga practices of pranayama and meditation are effective tools to help support the nervous system, making it more flexible and able to weather the storms of daily stress.

Join Kimberly to explore the benefits of this practice.

In-studio Prenatal Yoga - 4 week series
Prenatal yoga helps to build strength, improve circulation, regulate breathing, opens energy channels and harmonizes the relationship and functioning of body, mind and breath.

For the mother-to-be, this surrender will prove invaluable from delivery day forward.

Wednesdays, October 6th to October 27th
5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

In-studio: Restore Harmony, Crystal Bowls & Restorative Yoga
Restore your body-mind system to its natural harmonic resonance through sound and imagery meditation paired with the healing tones of crystal quartz singing bowls.

For our purposes in this practice we will silently layer in the use the bijas, or seed sounds, each of which correspond to one of the 7 main energy centres that begin at the base of the spine and run up past the crown of the head.

Virtual Workshop Series: Yoga Nidra Foundations
Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice which allows us to expand our awareness while in a state of deep relaxation. It is said to be the doorway to higher consciousness.

Every week will start with a short lecture followed by a revitalizing Yoga Nidra practice to give rest to the mind, brain, nervous system, senses and body.

A downloadable recording of the weekly Yoga Nidra practice will be made available to you to support your home practice.

Mondays, October 8 - November 1

Beyond School of Yoga
We offer a variety of certification programs to support and inspire your yoga/life journey. Providing practices of self-discovery, self-inquiry and self-care through the brilliant teachings of yoga, we develop habits that harmonize our unique nature so that we become a guiding light for those with whom we share our life.
Breathe Easy
The rhythm and ease in which the breath flows is our true nature. Over time with the demands of daily life many of us have become thoracic and mouth breathers which can create more stress, tension and everything else that goes with stress.

As one of the greatest sources of energy, conscious breathing, is free and always available. Developing the habit to breathe deeply is a powerful practice and requires knowledge, practice and guidance.

Yin Level I
Join Diane to learn the basic history of Yin Yoga, the principles and philosophy of Yin Yoga, physiology and anatomy of Yin Yoga, plus so much more!

This training is for yoga teachers, students and anyone wanting to deepen their practice, refine their teaching skills and learn more about the benefits of this quiet practice.

Chair Yoga Teacher Training
The Chair Yoga teacher training will give you the training/certification and ability to teach a chair yoga sequence to seniors and those who might have some physical challenges, pre-existing medical conditions or those who might be recovering from an injury. Many of the principles can be translated to someone who sits at a desk all day or who is new to yoga and wants a more accessible practice.
