With mixed feelings, we announce that Karen Forner will be leaving Employer Solutions Law. Her last day with the firm is May 23, 2024.
Karen will be sorely missed. She is a force to be reckoned with in the legal world, and she has earned a reputation as a fierce and compassionate advocate for her clients. However, after successfully practicing for over thirty years, she has decided to leave the practice of law and move on to the next chapter in her life and the adventures that will accompany it!
Karen has been a leader in the workers’ compensation and workplace safety community, advocating for Employer rights and making significant contributions to workplace safety. Her efforts have been instrumental in ensuring that every Washington worker goes home at the end of each day in the same condition they arrived in.
With a particular focus on mental health in the construction field, Karen has spread awareness and shared resources to both Employers and Employees alike to destigmatize mental health, start conversations about it, create spaces for these dialogues to occur, and taken steps to enlighten Washingtonians about the mental health crisis in Washington’s workforce and the best ways for us all to address it. Anyone who has seen Karen present on this topic knows how meaningful this work is to her. Her work in this field is just one of her many lasting legacies.
Though Karen will be missed at Employer Solutions Law, we are grateful for her contributions and wish her the best as she undertakes this next chapter. If her previous work is any example, there is no question that her passion and drive will bring her satisfaction and success!
Save the date for a party in Karen’s honor. We will raise a glass to Karen on Thursday, May 23, immediately following the ASSP PNW Safety Symposium at the Muckleshoot Casino Resort in Auburn, Washington.
